HMS AFFRAY

NORMAN BEDFORD SMITH..  I believe my father Norman Bedford Smith (I think his nick name may have been Beddy) who died in 1964 served onboard the submarine HMS Affray during or just after the war but he would never talk about what he did.  My mother told me he had been in Marseille during the war and had also visited Russia.  I would so like to find more about him as a Chief Petty Officer and his life as a submariner.  Elizabeth Owen.  contact here
