S Class submarines of the Royal
Navy. These submarines were used in Home waters, Mediterranean and the
Far East during World War II. Vessels in the class included HMS Safari,
HMS Satyr, HMS Saga and HMS Sanguine - all are pictured below. |

HMS STURDY.. E.J.A. GIBSON.. My father served
on HMS Sturdy as an engineer officer when she was wrecked on Tiree. I
would be interested to hear if there are any survivors left. Contact me at

HMS SARACEN.. JOHN PEACH.. My father served on HMS Saracen
as a helmsman during WW2. He is 81 now and very nostalgic about the
friends who served with him. If anyone has any information on the
