Armoured Cruisers
Marco Polo 27th October 1892 Converted to a troop transport in Venice from 1917-1918 with a new name of Cortellazzo. Renamed again as Europa in October 1920 and discarded January 1921 while simultaneously being reinstated as Volta. Discarded and sold for scrapping 5th January 1922.

Marco Polo in 1897. She was one of three ships belonging to the flying squadron in the Mediterranean.

Vettor Pisani Class
Carlo Alberto 23rd September 1896 Converted to troop transport in Venice Navy Yard in 1917 and work was completed in Taranto Navy Yard in 1918. Renamed Zenson and recommissioned in April 1918 but discarded on 12th June 1920.

Italian armoured cruiser Carlo Alberto in 1902 was launched at Spezia in 1896 she measured 324 ft in length with a displacement of 6,500 tons and a speed of 20 knots.

San Giorgio Class
San Giorgio 27th July 1908 Reconstructed 1937-38 and recommissioned in June 1938. She was scuttled 22nd January 1941 at Tobruk.

San Marco 20th December 1908 Converted to a radio controlled target ship during 1931-35. She was then captured by the Germans on 9th September 1943. Her hull was sunk at La Spezia.

Brindisi  (ex Helgoland) Acquired 19th September 1920 Served as a accommodation ship 1927 to 1937 at Ancona then Pola and lastly at Venezia, Stricken on the 11th march 1937
Venezia  (ex Saida) Acquired 19th September 1920 Used as a accommodation ship 1930 - 1937 at Genoa and also at La Spezia, stricken 11th march 1937
Ex German Graudenz Light Cruiser
Ancona   Acquired 1st June 1920 Served with the Italian Navy after major modifications during 1921-1924, re commissioned on the 6th may 1925, re classified as a cruiser on the 19th July 1929 and finally stricken 11th March 1937
Ex German Pillau  Light Cruiser
Bari    Acquired 20th July 1920 Commissioned into the |Italian Navy on the 21st January 1924. re classed as a Cruiser on the 19th July 1929. underwent modifications during 1834 - 1935 for Colonial service.  On the 28th June 9143 badly damaged by us aerial bombing and sank two days later.   On the 8th September the Italians  destroyed parts of the ship to stop it falling into German hands.. hull was re floated in January 1948 and Scrapped 1948
Trento Class
Trento 4th October 1927 Sunk on 15th June 1942 by HMS Umbra.

Fiume 27th April 1930 Sunk on 29th March 1941 by British battleships and destroyers.
Gorizia 28th December 1930 Captured by the Germans after the Italian surrender but was then sunk on 26th June 1944.

Zara 27th April 1930 Sunk on 29th March 1941 by British battleships and destroyers.
Bolzano 31st August 1932 Captured by the Germans after the Italian surrender but was then sunk on 21st June 1944.

Dogali Protected Cruiser

Built in Britain by Armstrong at Elswick for the Greek Navy and named Salamis. But was bought by the Italian Navy initially to be named Angelo Emo. Served with the Italian navy, ending her service with the Italian navy while in Montevideo, when she was sold   to Uruguay on the 16th January 1908. as Montevideo

Displacement: 2050.  Speed: 17.7 knots.  Crew 224.  Armament: Six  6-inch guns,  Nine 57mm Guns, 6 Gatling guns  Four 14inch Torpedo Tubes.  One  extra75mm gun added in 1898

L'ItaDogali Ha Protetto l'Incrociatore Costruito in Gran Bretagna da Armstrong a Elswick per la Marina greca ed i Salami nominato. Ma è stato comprato dalla Marina italiana di essere inizialmente nominato Angelo Emo. Servito con la marina italiana, finendo il suo servizio con la marina italiana mentre in Montevideo, quando è stato venduta a Uruguay sul 16 il 1908 gennaio. come Montevideo 

Lo spostamento: 2050. La velocità: 17,7 nodi. L'equipaggio 224. L'armamento: Sei pistole di 6-inch, Nove 57 millimetre Pistole, 6 Gatling

Italian Cruiser Piemonte  built at the Elswick Yard (UK) and in 1898 was the fastest ship afloat.

Lombardia or Regions Class
Elba 12th August 1893 Refitted as a balloon-ship from 1907 and then served as a depot ship to seaplanes from 1914-1915.
Etruria 23rd April 1891 She was caught up in the explosion of an ammunition barge in Leghorn harbour and sank on 13th August 1918.
Liguria 8th June 1893 Refitted as a balloon-ship from 1908 to 1911 and then served as a minelayer from 1917. She was sold for disposal on 15th May 1921.

Lombardia 12th July 1890 Used as a depot ship for submarines from 1908 and sold for disposal on 4th July 1920.
Puglia 22nd September 1898 Used as a minelayer from the beginning of July 1916 and then disposed of on 22nd March 1923. Part of the ship is alleged to have been placed at Gardone on Lake Garda in Gabriele d'Annunzio's "Vittoriale".
Calabria Class
Calabria 20th September 1894 Disposed of on 13th November 1924.
Libia Class (Ex Drama)
Libia 11th November 1912 Turkish order in 1910 with plans similar to those of the Turkish cruiser Hamideh. She was captured by Italy when war was declared and her name was changed to Libia. She was sold and scrapped on 11th March 1937.
Campania Class
Basilicata 23rd July 1914 Sank after an internal explosion of one of her boilers  near Port Said but was refloated on 12th September 1920. She was sold and scrapped July 1st 1921.

Nino Bixio 30th December 1911 Scrapped after 1929.

Taranto (ex Strassburg) 24th August 1911 Originally a German light cruiser she was scuttled on 23rd September 1943 but raised by the Germans only to be bombed and sunk on 23rd October 1943. Raised and sunk again on 23rd September 1944 she was scrapped after 1947.
Admiral Spaun Class
Brindisi (ex Helgoland) 23rd November 1912 Used as accommodation ship. Scrapped after 1937.
Venezia (ex Saida) 26th October 1912 Used as accommodation ship. Scrapped after 1937.
