Claymore Class French destroyers, Stylet, Tromblon, Pierrier, Obusier, Mortier, Claymore, Carquois, Trident, Fleuret, Coutelas, Cognee, Hache, Massue. The the Claymore Class destroyers were built at Rochefort Dockyard except, Cognee, Hache and Massue which were built at Toulon Dockyard. They featured the new 17 - inch torpedo, which made the destroyer top heavy, so to reduce weight the closed bridge was replaced with a open bridge. The Pierrier was fitted with a new experimental 4 cylinder Delauny-Belleville engine, but came into service too late. (November 1910) and was not a success. and the engine was replaced with a similar 3 cylinder engines as the other claymore's. In fact the Claymore class were not a success. La Classe de claymore destructeurs français, Stylet, Tromblon, Pierrier, Obusier, Mortier, le Claymore, Carquois, le Trident, Fleuret, Coutelas, Cognee, Hache, Massue. Les les destructeurs de Classe de Claymore ont été construits au Chantier naval de Rochefort sauf, Cognee, Hache et Massue qui ont été construits au Chantier naval de Toulon. Ils ont présenté le nouveau 17 - la torpille de pouce, qui a fait le destructeur premier lourd, donc réduire le poids que le pont fermé a été remplacé avec un pont ouvert. Le Pierrier a été ajusté avec un nouvel expérimental 4 moteur de Delauny-Belleville de cylindre, mais est venu dans le service trop tard. (Le 1910 novembre) et n'était pas un succès. et le moteur a été remplacé avec un similaire 3 moteurs de cylindre comme l'autre claymore. En fait la classe de Claymore n'était pas un succès.
