Royal  navy Type 42 destroyers, HMS Birmingham, HMS Newcastle, Glasgow, Cardiff, Exeter, Southampton, Liverpool, Sheffield and Coventry. These Type 42 destroyers many served during the Falklands war with HMS Sheffield and HMS Coventry being lost.

 

Displacement: 3,500 tons Standard, and 4,100 tons full load. Speed at 29 Knots,  Compliment: 253 incl 24 Officers, It has accommodation for 312.  armament|:   Missiles: Surface to Air: British aero space. Sea Dart GWS 30 twin launcher with  a total of 22 missiles.   One Vickers 4.5 inch / 55 caliber Mk 8.  two Oerlikon 20mm GAM-BO1 . plus 2 Oerlikon 20mm Mk 9's. Plus 2 general Electric/ Dynamics 20mm Vulcan Phalanx Mk15, with six barrels per launcher.   Plus Six 324mm Torpedo Tubes.     One Westland Lynx helicopter.
