Class protected cruisers of the French Navy. These ships including
Linois, Galilee and Lavoisier were launched in the mid 1890's.
La Classe de Linois A Protégé des Croiseurs. Les photos et l'histoire de la Classe de Linois ont protégé des croiseurs de la Marine française. Ces bateaux y compris Linois, Galilée et Lavoisier ont été lancés dans les mi-1890. Displacement: 2285 tons, Speed: 20.5 knots, Compliment: 250 to 269 crew. armament: Four 5.5 -inch Quick Firing guns, Two 3.9 - inch guns, Eight 3 pounder, two 1 punder revolvers Two Torpedo tubes except Linois which had four. also could carry 120 mines. (except for Lavoisier) |
