In the new Millennium stadium Cardiff, Wales invited the World Champions the Springboks to Cardiff for what was to become one of the greatest games in welsh rugby history. the springboks were expected to conquer the welsh side comfortably, however Wales demonstrated from the start just how far they have come since their previous meeting. Mark Taylor had the honour of the first try in the new stadium followed by a second try by Gareth Thomas. The Welsh went onto to win 29 to 19.

Christopher Philip Wyatt was born in Newport, Wales on the 10th of June 1975. Christopher Philip Wyatt is a former Welsh international rugby union player. A lock forward. he attained 38 caps for Wales between 1998 and 2003. Wyatt was selected for the Wales squad for the 1999 and 2003 Rugby World Cups. Christopher Philip Wyatt played for Newport RFC and Llanelli RFC while in Wales before moving to Irish team Munster and the French club Bougoin. Wyatt now plays for the French team Aix-en-Provence.

Dafydd Rhys James was born in Mufulira, Zambia on 24th July 1975. Dafydd Rhys James is a former Welsh international rugby union player who plays on the wing or at centre. He toured with the British and Irish Lions in 2001. He has earned 45 caps for Wales and three for the British & Irish Lions. James made his international debut in 1996 and won 48 caps, his last coming at the 2007 Rugby World Cup. He did hold the record for leading try scorer in the Heineken Cup with 29 trys.
