Philip Whitworth Burnett, RN. Joined the Royal nay in July 1929 ass a 2nd Lt. and became a rear Admiral in January 1955. From January 1939 to April 1940, he was the First Lieutenant aboard HMS Kelly. Cdr. P.W. Burnett Commanded the Destroyer HMCS St Catherines from May 1943 to November 1943 (in this time took part in the sinking of 2 U-boats, one believed to be U1200) and the Frigate K253 HMS Helmsdale (Helmsdale shared with HMS Portchester Castle the depth charging and sinking of U-484 on the 9th september 1944. He died 10th June 1996.
