Sovereign, First Rate 100 gun Ship of the Line, Built at Plymouth
Dockyard and launched on the 11th September 1786. weighing 2175
tons. served through out the Napoleonic wars, and as Admiral Collingswood's
Flagship during the Battle of Trafalgar. in 1826 placed on harbour
service and finally broken up in 1841.
Armament twenty eight 32 pounder on Gun deck, twenty eight 24 pounder guns of Mid Deck, Thirty 12 pounder guns on upper deck, Ten 12 pounders on Quarter deck and Four 12 pounder guns FC |
