Gulf of Finland Shipwreck

Can't say what country this vessel was from. The wreck looks the way most of us imagined a shipwreck when we were young. It's in a remarkable state of preservation. http://www.badewanne.fi/press/release_20110412.html

Thank you for sharing this information. As you say the wreck is remarkably well preserved and it looks hopeful that it will be protected. May I pass on your link info to the finnish side of my family who will be very interested? Missy

Very interesting; but I wish they would display a measurement scale of some kind in such pictures. It seems to be quite a small vessel in a remarkable state of preservation.

It is in no way my link, and is a press release, so I think they are looking for wide distribution.

The small size probably aided in the wreck remaining fairly intact.

Wouldn't the ship's name be enscribed on the bell if she was English?
