I have noticed the odd occasion where someone on the site has mentioned of Family or friends who were killed in the First world war. For their benefit, they can obtain details of where the person died where he is buried and even a certificate free of charge. This is available through Geoffs search engine.....just click on this and give what details are known and the best of luck, Cheers Stan. http://www.hut-six.co.uk/cgi-bin/search1421.php

Stan -I am afraid to say that the link must have expired,as it no longer works If you return will you refresh it please. jainso31

I had a bit of a delve and have updated the link. However, it looks like you have to pay to register on the site before the search engine will work. The site also announces that the 1914-21 Search Engine will cease to operate after August 2011. It also provides the following information about the search index: This search index will provide links to the Commonwealth War Graves Casualty database which is held and maintained by The Commonwealth War Graves Commission. All information in the database is copyright © by CWGC. Any use of this data should comply with their terms and conditions of use which are displayed on their website. This website has no connexion with the CWGC, but if you found this search engine useful you may like to consider making a donation here. This index may not be complete or 100% accurate, therefore if you fail to find what you are searching for it does not necessarily mean the information is not held. The CWGC main search page should be consulted. Consequently, it may be worth using the CWGC search facility to search the 1.7 million records on its database http://www.cwgc.org/debt_of_honour.asp Jim

Thanks- "Jim-'ll fix it"- now I can carry out the research I intended to do-and a non fee one too-Bravo jainso31

Everything we obtain for this site is shown on the site, we do not have any more photos, crew lists or further information on any of the ships.
