Austrian Gunboats on Lake Garda 1866

Posts 1 to 4

I ran across an article on the internet by Professor Mike Benninghof outlining the activities of a flotilla of Austrian gunboats that dominated this lake during the war of 1866 with Italy. This flotilla was considered so important that modern heavy guns were given to these gunboats rather than to Admiral Tegethoff's fleet. Does anyone have any photos or information or links that I could research this further ?

Can you post the link to the article?:)
