QPR, again an interesting obit. Here are further details of the wards to Adm. Henderson ; HENDERSON Reginal G.H N/E Captain RN 87X052 & 052a Naval Assistant to A.C.N.S A.C.N.S 27.05.19 Gazetted Post War CB(M) Captain Henderson has been employed at the Admiralty since December, 1916, first on the Staff of the Anti Submarine Division, and during the last 18 months, as my Naval Assistant. His services to the Allied cause have been very valuable. E.G. In 1917, when the shortage of coal in France became a vital matter and immediate action was necessary, to largely increase the import from this country, the necessary organisation was undertaken and carried out by Captain Henderson with complete success.Captain Henderson has also been closely identified with the general convoy sustem and ahs taken a prominent part in its develpoment and operation. No small part in the smooth working of the organisation has been done to the tact and ability with which he has dealt with the various interests concerned outside the Admiralty. HENDERSON Reginald G.H N/E Cdr. RN 78A070 N/E C-in-C Grand Fleet 15.09.16 Gazetted Despatch of 23.08.16 - Battle of Jutland 31.05.16 Mentioned in Despatches Commended for services in the Battle of Jutland, 31.05.1916. Sadsac

That's a different Henderson, Sadsac; Admiral Sir Reginald Guy Hannam Henderon, K.C.B. (1881 - 1939). The Henderson qprdave mentioned was his uncle. Simon

Harley, thanks for the correction. I failed to read the OBIT posted by QPR, so missed the fact of the difference. Silly of me not to `look up' correctly - will try not to let it happen again. Sadsac
