I am looking for drawings and photographs of the FLB Boats used by the Luftwaffe for Air Sea Rescue in WW2,happy to pay,can anyone help please ? David5

I hope someone has some photos for you. You certainly wouldn't have to pay for the pictures posted by our members. However the forum is owned by a company that specialises in this sort of thing. They market a truly excellent number of paintings and photos. Perhaps you might find what you want there.

Its too specialised for that Herk...

David, try http://forum.axishistory.com/index.php, someone may be able to point you in the right direction.

Another possibility is the Luftwaffe site http://www.feldgrau.com/luft.html

Thankyou for the help lads,i have already posted on the AHF,and am awaiting my account for Feldgrau,i have found a veterans site but i can't get access,i think it is limited to vets only,i have tried the WZ archiv but no reply,i have also registered with the forumarchiv ,i have to work out to submit a question as it's in German and i can't see a 'new topic' box,any suggestions much appreciated. I'll keep looking though David5

David. I have a book called "Die Schiffe und Boote der Deutschen Seeflieger 1912 1976" by Jung, Wenzel & Abendroth. Published by Motorbuch Verlag, Stuttgart. It is a complete history of all the vessels used by the German seaplanes and flying boats. There is a whole chapter on the subject you are looking for, complete with photographs and drawings. It's available on Amazon.de for 25 euros or there are 2 copies on abebooks.com for about £ 26/27, one in America and one in Germany. Hope this helps. Neil.

Everything we obtain for this site is shown on the site, we do not have any more photos, crew lists or further information on any of the ships.
