For modelling purposes can anyone supply details of all the decks...eg planked, steel or corticene and their colours? Thanks for any help.

Forgive my ignorance but what type of vessel is this please ? The reason I ask is to assist you in this search , as in the past I have used the Forum to identify components of ships and their use to build models , and been very successful in finding what I'm looking for if you know have a look in RN ships of the same class of ship and go from there :)

She was a Submarine Depot Ship Ivor . I served on her 1965 when she was HQ for the 2nd Submarine Squadron in Devonport . Other ships in her class were: Tyne , Maidstone , Forth and several others. For the life of me I cannot remember how her decks were furnished , but I suspect the forecastle was planked as war the after deck , Her Boatdeck was steel and on Adamant so corroded that it was painted with red lead and locally known as "Red Deck" but you never chipped at it heavily unless you wanted to go thru' Dave H

Ah the waters become less mudded , thanks Dave I"ll dig around and see if I've got anything as reference but not hopeful

Dave: HMS Adamant was in Halifax in the 1960's on a port visit. I remember touring the main decks as they were open to the public. I believe the fore and aft decks were wooden. Brian
