Reunion 3/4th/5th October. Britannia Hotel Fairfax St. CV1 5RP. phone 02476 633686. The Events Manager who is looking after our weekend isStacy Bosworth. Stacy has been at the hotel for some time now,and is aware of our systems and previous problems. (She has assured me that the Tamworth bus forSat 4th is already booked, I have suggested they double check same ).Thereception and booking in staff, are still not great ! So I would suggest thatin the event of any problem in this area, contact me or Stacy, we will sort it. I have contacted other venues as requested, and it has been an interestingexercise. The £134-00 three night package has not beenmatched, but we are still open to suggestions. However, with most hotelsnow refusing happy hour prices, (or very limited times) and no to our own rumetc, it is getting tighter. The bus trip is still free, and this year we getfree wine with dinner. I am painfully aware that the Britannia is a long wayfrom 4star ratings, but at present I have not found a venue that is overallbetter value. Check your room when you arrive; if it is not what you want, go down and get itchanged. Please do not complain on the way out; do not suffer the week-end insilence !! There has been a rumour that the hotel is selling out to the University next door,I have checked this, and the hotel assure me that there is no truth in thestory. Looking forward to seeing you in October; willbe in touch nearer the time with final details, Regards Stan McClennan
