RAF Marine Craft

Posts 1 to 6

I couldn't find a general thread covering the multitude of RAF vessels. This is HMAFV Sunderland off Gibraltar sometime between 1982-85. The third shot is a Towex with HMAFV Stirling. Ted

Ted: Thanks for this addition to the threads. One rarely thinks about the RAF, or any other air force ships. Brian

The boats of 1100 Marine Craft Unit at Invergordon in 1982. HMAFVs Seagull (inboard), Seal and Hurricane. Ted
Attached are Paintings of RAF Marine Craft I have posted on this site [...] Regards Jim
Those are excellent Jim. I hadn't seen them before so thank you for highlighting them. By chance I have the photo on which your painting of HSL 130 looks to be based. I don't know its provenance and the same image has been posted several times on the web but it's still a great shot. Ted

Thanks Ted, the best site I have found for photos is http://www.asrmcs-club.com/boatswebsite/galleryall.html You may already know of it regards Jim
