Than you Kookabura. I meant to finish this month's contribution last night but my Internet link failed. My final post is H.M.S. Ranger, regards, Bob

Congratulations Bob on another fine months pictures. Much appreciated. Gerry - You ask if the warships are not in Gosport or Guzz then where are they? Basically we have so few ships left in the RN these days that the bulk of them are at sea and poor old Bob is left chasing them when they return or any others that are left over. If things get any worse they will have to bring back Belfast and Bristol to pad out the fleet!:(

Thank you Terry. Hopefully, I will have the same or better luck next month. I say that as the movements forecast on the QHM site do not always happen for reasons unknown. I think I experience six non events over the past month, regards, Bob

Thanks Bob - you must have the patience of a saint!

No problem Terry, regards, Bob

Hi everyone. Great to be back. Starting this month with H.M.S. Illustrious which is currently engaged in working up the Naval Strike Wing to refresh them on carrier operations following their time in Afghanistan, regards, Bob

Thank you for those Bob. I wonder how long it will be before she is moored further up the creek where the Fearless and Intrepid were, awaiting her fate as they were? Cheers, Bob.

Thank you Terry and Bob. My next photo's are of H.M.S. Endurance loaded onto the M.V. Target out in Stokes Bay, regards, Bob

Excellent viewing!!!! To think that my wife and I have taken several holidays, in the Premier Inn on Long Curtain Road, Southsea on sea front (just beside the amusement park)... that is broadly behind HMS Edinburgh Pic No. 5 posted 1-2-09... and all I took on each occasion was my binoculars, not my camera.!!! Looking forward to next batch. Little h

Thank you Harry. The next photo's are of the U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt on her way home from supporting operations in Afghanistan. Couldn't get onto a cruise to go around her so I took the car ferry to Freshwater which passed quite close to her. Just as we were leaving Portsmouth Harbour disaster struck when a heavy sea mist descended, reducing visibility to less than a 100 yards. Fortunately, this cleared up a little when we got close to her but weather conditions were still poor. The first three photo's were taken from the shore at Stokes Bay and Lee on the Solent, regards, Bob

Final photo's of the U.S.S. The Sullivans this month. Still debating whether to post her arrival as they were taken in poor weather conditions. Finishing tomorrow with H.M.S. Kent, only a few photo's as a yaucht got in the way for most of her entrance and completely spoiled the photo's. Hope you enjoyed this months contribution, regards, Bob

Hi everyone, Apologies for the delay in this month's contribution. This was due to forecast events not matching reality and it wasn't until yesterday / today that I had much to post. First ship, H.M.S. Iron Duke, regards, Bob.

Hi everyone, My next ship is the R.F.A. Fort Austin, launched in 1979. Served in the Falklands War as an ammunition ship in San Carlos Waters. In 2000, the ship was part of the British deployment to help restore order in Sierra Leone. Designed to carry a wide range of stores to support other ships; ammunition, food, explosives. She has extensive aviation facilities, with two flight decks, one to the stern and one spot on top of the hangar, up to four Sea Kings can be stored in the large hangar. These ships also have the capability to replenish ships at sea via six RAS points regards, Bob
