17th July 1939 - Launched 21st November 1939 - Lt.Cdr. Anthony Frank Burnell-Nugent, RN in Command 19th December 1939 - Completed 19th December 1939 - After working up at Portland, Joined 9th Destroyer Flotilla and operated with the Home Fleet 4th February 1940 - Sailed Plymouth for a position 40 miles 270Â° from Cape Finisterre. 29th February 1940 - Under repair at Plymouth 15th March 1940 - Sailed Portsmouth for the Clyde 16th March 1940 - Arrived in the Clyde 22nd March 1940 - Arrived Plymouth 25th March 1940 - Searched a wreck off Bull Point 1st April 1940 - 9th Destroyer Flotilla 1st April 1940 - Lt. Cdr. A.F. Burnell-Nugent in Command 5th April 1940 - Joined Convoy SL.25 8th April 1940 - Detached from Convoy SL.25 on arrival 1st June 1940 - Sunk off Dunkirk
