Whilst undertaking Hydrographic work for the government of the Republic of Ireland, in April 1971. she was moored in Baltimore Harbour when two of her launches, named Puffin and Stork, were towed out to sea and bombed by the Irish Republican Army. Puffin survived, but Stork was wrecked. |
