Fate : Laid down as Almirante Latorre in 1911 and acquired by UK on 9th September 1914 and renamed Canada. From UK (ex Canada) April 1920. Scrapped 1959.

HMS Canada Royal Navy battleship originally built for Chile as Almirante Latorre. HMS Canada built by Armstrong's and launched November 1913 with the out break of world war one looming. The Almirante Latorre was formally purchased on the 9th of September 1914. HMS Canada joined the grand Fleet Fourth Battle Squadron in October 1915 and took part in the Battle of Jutland, and after Jutland joined the first battle squadron. Between 1919 and 1920 went to Devonport for refit and in April 1920 was returned to Chile renamed the Almirante Latorre. While in the Chilean Navy September 1931 the crew participated in a short lived mutiny and finally in 1959 she was sold to the breakers yard.

Displacement: 28,600 tons, and 32,120 tons deep load. Crew 1167 Speed: 22.75 knots Range: 4400 nm at 10 Knots. Armament: Ten 14 inch guns in five turrets, Sixteen 6-inch guns, Two 3 inch AA guns. Four 3 pounder and Four 21 inch Torpedo Tubes in the beam submerged.
