UB57.. Can you help? I am trying to find information on UB57, I believe it was commanded by Ober Lt Johannes Loks. I believed it sink the Kyarra off the Dorset coast in 1918, and then went on to other missions. Unfortunately it was sunk in the North Sea after hitting a German mine in August 1918. If anyone has more information or photographs of UB57 or can confirm it sank the Kyarra, please contact me at terence.rogers@virgin.net

Sinking of the German submarine U8 by HMS Maori on March 4, 1915. All crew from the U8 were saved and were uninjured. The photograph was taken by William Wallace King-Brown, medical officer aboard HMS Maori. Action took place off the Vame Light near Folkestone. Sent in by Robert King-Brown (grandson of William).

UC5 Between April & July 1915 Captured on 27th April 1916 after becoming stranded. She was eventually scrapped in 1923.
UC6 Between April & July 1915 Sunk by bombs from British seaplane on 28th September 1917.
UC7 Between April & July 1915 Sunk sometime in 1916 by HMS Salmon.
UC8 Between April & July 1915 Interned by the Netherlands after running aground and became M1 serving from 1915-1932. Scrapped in 1932.
UC9 Between April & July 1915 Unfortunately she blew herself up on her own mines on 21st October 1915.
UC10 Between April & July 1915 Sunk by the submarine E54 on 21st August 1916.
UC11 April/May 1915 Mined and sunk on 26th June 1918.
UC12 April/May 1915 Unfortunately blew herself up on her own mines on 16th March 1916. Raised by the Italians and repaired she became X1 but was scrapped in 1919.
