      SALISBURY CLASS FRIGATES     

The Salisbury class Frigates were built on the same hull as the Type 41,  but were more valuable to the Royal navy as it had an updated early air warning   radar

Displacement: 2170  tons normal  and a deep load of 2,350 tons.  Speed: 25 knots,  range: 7,500 miles at 16 knots.  Crew 207.  Armament: Two 4.5 inch / 45 MK 6 DP, Two 40mm/60 STAAG MK 2 . and One Squid

HMS Chichester  (F59) 16th May 1958  Scraped 1981
HMS llandaff   (F42) 11th April 1958  Sold to Bangladesh 1976
HMS Lincoln  (F99) 7th July 1960   Sold to Bangladesh 1982
