Armoured Cruiser Rossia

The Rossia was considerably damaged by Japanese armoured cruisers at Ulsan in 1904, but could still steam well, despite heavy casualties. In 1906 the Rossia (or Rossija) had a major refit which included an extra Six 6 inch guns fitted in sponsons on the upper deck. as well as an extra three 3-inch guns added/ and this time the three torpedo tubes were removed. Interesting history of the ship was she was fitted out as a royal yacht before the war She was employed in the Baltic during World War One, at times as a minelayer. Finally scrapped in 1922

Displacement: 13676 tons,  speed: 20.2 knots,   Range 19000 nautical miles at 10 knots.  Crew 842  Armament: Four 8 -inch guns,  Sixteen 6 -inch guns.  twelve 3 inch guns, Twenty 3 pdr,  Sixteen 1 pdr. Five  15 inch torpedo Tubes. 

Rossia (Rossiya, Rossija) May 1896 Damaged by Japanese cruisers in 1904 but she was repaired and served in WW1. Scrapped in 1922.
