Flying Squadron, 1869, Devonport.

On left, HMS Pandora, then HMS Bristol.  In the centre, there are two ships facing towards the camera, HMS Scylla and HMS Wasp.  Next is HMS Endymion, with HMS Liverpool to its right.  HMS Liffey is the larger ship on the right, with an unknown ship behind it.

Cruiser patrol in the North Sea. A heavy sea is just striking the cruisers stern - the cruiser next in line is shaking herself free of a gigantic wave.

An angry roller tumbling upon the stern of a cruiser in the north sea. The hatches are battened down and life-lines are stretched around the deck.

The breaking wave has completely submerged the cruisers stern. The sailor is making a hurried dash for the shelter of the gun shield.
