MTB's or Motor Torpedo Boats also
covered MGB's Motor Gun Boats and Motor anti Submarine Boats. MTB's
were built by Vosper, Thornycroft, and White, designed
for the Coastal Forces. to operate against enemy submarines foreseen
in future conflict with Germany. and also against raiding German E-Boats
which were bigger. The MTB's were built with a hard chine wooden
Hull.

The wreck of the coastal
Motor Boat CMB33A, 13th April 1918. The Motor Torpedo Boat was damaged
by shore batteries at Eylau during an attack on Ostende. the crew were drowned
after abandoning the wreck. and it drifted ashore and fell into German
