Linois Class Protected Cruisers.   Photos and history of the Linois Class protected cruisers of the French Navy.  These ships including Linois, Galilee and Lavoisier were launched in the mid 1890's.

La Classe de Linois A Protégé des Croiseurs. Les photos et l'histoire de la Classe de Linois ont protégé des croiseurs de la Marine française. Ces bateaux y compris Linois, Galilée et Lavoisier ont été lancés dans les mi-1890.

Displacement: 2285 tons,  Speed: 20.5 knots,  Compliment: 250 to 269 crew.  armament: Four 5.5 -inch Quick Firing guns,  Two 3.9 - inch guns,  Eight 3 pounder,  two 1 punder revolvers  Two Torpedo tubes except Linois which had four. also could carry 120 mines.  (except for Lavoisier)
