Laperouse Class Unprotected Cruisers.  Photographs and history of the French Laperouse Class Cruisers of the 1870's and 1880's including D'Estaing, Laperouse, Nielly and Primauguet.

Wooden Hulled ships with Iron beams., these ships had Plough Bows with a forecastle. Displacement: 2363 tons, Speed 15 Knots  Compliment: 264  Armament: Fifteen 5.5 inch M1870M guns, which were  later replaced in Primauget with Quick Firing Conversions. also each ship had Eight 1 pounder revolvers.

Hulled en bois expédie avec les rayons en fer., ces bateaux avaient les Arcs de Charrue avec un poste d'équipage. Déplacement : 2363 tonnes, la Vitesse 15 Noeuds Complimentent : 264 Armement : Quinze 5,5 pouce M1870M abat, qui étaient ultérieur remplacé dans Primauget avec Vider les Conversions Rapides. aussi chaque bateau avait Huit 1 révolvers de pounder.

Laperouose was built at Brest and launched 1877 finally completed February 1880
