| Kasuga
Class Armoured Cruisers of the Imperial Japanese Navy. The two Armoured
Cruisers were initially designed and laid down for the Italian Navy, but
were purchased by Argentina for the war against Chile. but the war ended
before completion and both ships were sold to Japan who wanted to match
the Russian Fleet.
Displacement: Kasuga 7628 and Nisshin 7698

| KASUGA Built at Ansaldo at Genoa was to be could
the Mitra but renamed the Rivadavia by Argentina. launched on the
22nd October 1902 and completed on the 7th January 1904. served in the
Russo-Japanese war and took part in the Battle of the Yellow sea
and again at the Battle of Tsushina. After 1922 as part of the Washington
treaty she was partially disarmed and used as a training ship finally
scrapped 1948 |

Battle of the Yellow sea and again at the Battle of Tsushina. After 1922
as part of the Washington treaty she was partially disarmed and used as
a training ship finally used as a target and sunk 1936.
