Karel Doorman was launched 20th April 1988.  Displacement : 2800t, 3320t full load.  Complement : 154.  Speed : 21kts.  Range : 5000nm at 18kts.  Armament : 8 Harpoon SSM (2 x 4), 1 VLS Sea Sparrow SAM (16 missiles), 1 - 76mm, 1 - 30mm Goalkeeper CIWS, 2 - 20mm (2 x 1), 4 - 324mm TT (4 x 1), 2 Super RBOC chaff RL, 1 WG-13 Lynx helicopter.
