HMS Theseus, Royal Naval aircraft carrier. Laid down 6th January 1943, launched 6th July 1944 and completed 9th February 1946. The following photographs were taken on board HMS Theseus between 1946/47 unfortunately a Midshipman was killed in the fire in one of the photographs. The pilot who crashed onto the funnel miraculously escaped although seriously hurt. We would like to thank Alan Gordon for the for supplying these 8 dramatic photographs. shown below

RONALD "PEDDLAR" PALMER - My grandfather who is now 95 served on the Theseus in Korea back in 1949-1952.  He was Commission Writer before becoming a Lieutenant.  If anyone recognises the name, I'm sure it would delight him!  email phil@rosebarn.co.uk

BILL GRICE.   I served in HMS Theseus 14th Carrier Air Group, 812 Squadron in 1947 touring the Far East, Australia and New Zealand. I am trying to find any old shipmates of 812 and 804 squadrons who are still on the perch! I've found 10 to date but would be delighted to hear from more. I am also looking for any old photographs. DOUGLAS WILLIAM LEESON:  My father served on HMS Theseus as a CPO during WW2. Now deceased 2 years ago, I would be interested in talking to anyone who knew. I only knew knew my dad from the years 5 to 9 , I immigrated to Australia after my parents split up. I finally made contact with my dad five years ago alas to late.
