My father served on Orion as a Chief Shipwright. I would love
to hear from anyone that knew him. I am his son John Porter.

JIM ALLEN.. My
grandfather, Jim Allen served, I believe as a stoker, on Orion in WW2 -
including taking part in the action off Calabria in July 1940. I'm
keen to hear from anyone who may have known him, Paul Lewis. Contact

Hi. My father was
on the Orion during the evacuation of Crete i am not too familiar with
all the details simply because my father died in the sixties and i never
got round to asking the questions when i was that age. All i know is
that they suffered heavy casualties on deck pulling troops away from
that area. can you please fill me in with details etc. I would really
appreciate some further details. I still hold the medals awarded
but cannot fill in the details. One that sticks in my mind was that my
grandmother rip told me that the ship went missing in action ( but was
in hiding somewhere in the MED but having served in the R.N.
myself i cannot understand this) can you fill me in with the details.

ROY ALLMAN-WARD.. I would love to hear some news of Roy who
served on HMS Orion and knew my mother, Tessa Anastasi Pace while at
Malta c.1942/3. Any information contact me at callejas@maltanet.net
THOMAS WILLIAMS.. I would like to contact anyone who knew my
Uncle Thomas, he was a stoker on HMS Orion and was killed on 30th May
1941 during the evacuation of troops from Crete. Any information about
