HMS Maidstone: sister ship to HMS Forth built at Clydebank and launched 11th August 1938. Dispalcement:8,900  Sped: 17 Knots. Compliment 1,167  Armament: Eight 4.5 - inch AA in pairs plus Eight 2 pounder AA guns. Served in the Mediterranean, South Atlantic and Rosyth 1939 - 1940, and again in the Mediterranean followed by the eastern and Pacific fleets.

WILLIAM EDWARD BERRY.. My father, Willim Berry, served on HMS Maidstone from 1947 to 1951 and would very much like to hear from any of his old crew mates, particularly his close colleague, George Best.  Contact Here 

ARTHUR JAMES JACKMAN..  My Grandfather Arthur James Jackman served as a torpedoman on both the E6 and the E7 working from the depot ship HMS Maidstone in Harwich and saw service in the Heligoland Bight in the North Sea and also I believe the Dardanelles.  He went down with the E6 in December 1915.  Any pictures or additional information gratefully received.  Contact Here
