Bellerophon - Name History |
|
The third “Bellerophon” was a 15-gun broadside
battleship, launched at Chatham in 1865.
She was of 7550 tons, 6520 horsepower, and 14-knots speed.
Her length, beam, and draught were 300ft, 56ft, and 27ft.
At a subsequent date this vessel’s name was changed to
“Indus” and she served as a workshop at Devonport. |
