lost off the coast of Spain near Malaga c.1900. |
The masts and yards of Gneisenau after she sank off
Malaga pier. The photograph is taken from the seaward end c.1900. She
was one of five ship rigged steam corvettes in the German Training
Squadron and was named after the celebrated German marshal. |

Charlotte. Charlotte was launched on 5th August 1885 and was used for
training from 1897 and had a complement of 430.
