HMS GALLANT
F W PLUMB..
My uncle, Leading Stoker F W Plumb C/KX91161
served on HMS Gallant and was lost on 10 January 1941, along with 59 other
crew members, when the ship struck a mine 25 miles south east of
Pantellaria during the Malta Convoys. I would like to hear from
anyone who served with him, or whose relative served on HMS Gallant.

HMS GRAFTON
ERIC BERRY
(MICKEY), AB GUNNERY BRANCH.. Trying to gain more information about the sinking
of HMS Grafton, Dunkirk 1940. My father was port bridge wing lookout when
the Grafton was Torpedoed. Trying to find out a more detailed account of

HMS GIPSY
JOSEPH EDWARD SHARP.. Trying to find information on
my grandfather Joseph who died on HMS Gipsy and was posthumously awarded
the DSM. He was a Petty Officer Stoker C/KX78044. Can anyone help? Contact

HMS GRENVILLE
At the Naval Cemetery at Shotley,
Suffolk, is a
communal grave containing the remains of eight men of HMS Grenville, who
all
died on 18 Jan 1940. That is the day before she
was mined and sunk. Can anyone provide any information as to how
these

GRENVILLE ASSOCIATION.. There is an association for HMS
Grenville and the 25th destroyer flotilla. Secretary is Mr R Dunbar, 4 Sir
Winston Churchill Place, Binley Woods, nr Coventry, CV3 2BT. They have an
annual reunion. No doubt
new/old crew members will be most welcome. Thanks to Michael Leahy for
this information (his father Tom Metcalfe served on HMS Grenville).
CAN ANYBODY HELP.
My late husbands male cousin
was killed or went missing after the sinking of HMS Grenville in the
Thames estuary January 1940. He was a rating aged 17 or 18. Would
somebody have a list of those killed. I would be grateful for any

HMS GREYHOUND
WILLIAM HAY: Four nephews of my paternal grandmother
were lost whilst serving with the Royal navy during WW2. I am
looking for info on WILLIAM Hay who was killed while serving on HMS

FRED HOLDSWORTH.. My uncle, Fred Holdsworth, was lost
during the sinking of HMS Greyhound. If anybody has memories they would

HMS GRIFFIN
I am a member
of the Oldbury Local History Society and interested in HMS Griffin because
she was adopted by Oldbury (West Mildands) in WW2. I would be interested
to hear from anyone who sailed on her or has knowledge of her,
particularly if any contacts were made with the people of Oldbury through
visits , parcels, letters etc. Any photographs would be of interest.

WILLIAM HENRY WEAREN D/SSX 20905..
My great
uncle William Wearen was killed aboard HMS Hardy during the first battle
of Narvik. I'm trying to find out what happened to her after she was hit.
I know that she was run aground but what happened to the survivors and

HMS HOTSPUR
ROLAND FREDERICK CROWHURST: (1942 - 1945). We're looking
for a merchant/identity number of our grandad who was a leading seaman on
this ship between 1942 - 1945. If anyone could help at all it would
be greatly appreciated! All else we know is that it boarded at

HMS HUNTER
NICK BLUNDEL.
I am trying to find out what happened to my great
Uncle Nick Blundel who was serving on HMS Hunter when the ship was sunk
during the battle of Narvik 10th April. I know then ship was sunk on that
day but my uncle did not die until 7 to 10 days later. if anyone con be of

HMS HAVOCK
ALBERT "VIC" PHILLIPS: My late Grandfather was a
leading Stoker on HMS Havock when it ran onto a sandbank and the crew were
led off into internment by the Vichy French. I have a photo of him and
other crew members during this time. if anyone has info on the ship or the
