QPR, a little adition to your posting - award to Capt. Hallett WW1 ;
HALLETT Theodore J N/E Captain RN 88X712 Flag Captain to R.A. Commanding 3rd Light Cruiser Sqdn. Rear Admiral A.T. Hunt 16.09.19 N/E Post War CBE(M) A very successful commander of the Dreadnoughts "Neptune" and "Royal Sovereign" in the Grand Fleet, throughout the first three years of the war. Since then he has been 21 months in command of a Light Cruiser, the last 15 months being as Flag Captain in the 3rd Light Cruiser Squadron ; which Light Cruiser Squadron took part in all Grand Fleet operations and execises throughout 1918, and in addition has been constatly employed in active support of the Scandinavian Convoys. I would mention that the great majority of officers of his standing with similar (or even less) war service in Grand Fleet have received at least one decoration. Sadsac |
