Hi
My father served on this aircraft carrier from 1940-43 perhaps one of the most eventful periods of this ships long and illustrious history.I am particularly interested in researching this period further and establishing contact with others whose relatives have links to this period. I am very keen to make contact with Neil Hodges who posted his fathers account on the main site.I have a photo of both his father and his friend Bill Dixey who is also mentioned in the account and would like to share these with him as I understand they were all friends. |

hi! I am not related to Bill Dixey but my mother's aunt ( member of the Salvation Army) was a friend and correspondant. He also corresponded with my mother although she was just a child at the time. I have several photos of him and a couple with him and my great-aunts.
I also am looking to find relatives of the following sailors: O. H "Pat" White (& Ellen) ... HMS Royal Sovereign 1943 Pat Blankenship..... not sure of ship Jack Lovell ... HMS Nelson Tom Carter..... HMS Wildfire |

Hello Diane and I hope you make contact with Groveman regarding Bill Dixie. However, I should point out that Groveman only made three posts on the site, back in October 2007, but I hope he keeps looking in and sees your post.
