These came from the same source so I will keep them together.
Any sign of that elusive Pom-Pom mounting?

More shots of Malta in 1953/54. The buses then look the same as those used during the war. Rob T

I'm afraid not Bob. Those beautiful photos were taken 1921-22, 14 or 15 years too early for Renown's port pom-pom mounting. Some great photos here though. Thanks to all for sharing.

They are still using the same buses, in which they show great pride.
Pity the state of the road surface doesn't match up.

Cylla, That photo was probably taken after having a few wets in the Britannia Club, which was the NAAFI bar just a few yards away!

Batstiger,
MANY thanks for that improvement of colour.

The camera was my old man,s he used during WW11,it was a "zeiss"..[spelling]concertina type.

Both robbie,s were off HMS SCYLLA,we were going/been on exersise in the med.
Both being gunnery rates, and at the time ,just got ashore after "tot" time...that dates it ....so we were all ready for a run ashore

With their raked stems, stepped quarterdecks and large lattice masts, the 'Lochs', 'Bays' & 'Castles' were great looking ships - an aspect for which they're rarely credited.

I know this is no good to anybody but I had a fantastic picture of the weapon class destroyer "Battleaxe" going stern first down Siliema creek. I have since lost it but I know that I purchased it from a well known photographer so maybe there are copies of it about. I hope so!

Picture 2 Eclipse Class Cruiser
Picture 3 ?
Only a guess and i'm usually dead wrong on these.

L20 is trimmed down so that work can be done on the aft planes or the screw.

Do you have any dates on the depot ship pictures.the first has a grp 2 or 3 T-class in it but without the mod to add some extra weaponry aft of the conning tower. When was this taken?

If the Sweeper is SEFTON or SANTON it would date it around 1957 as both were in Malta then.
