Default HMS Glasgow Inquiry 1940

Does anyone know where/how I can research into the Naval Board inquiry into the topedoing of the above ship on 26th December, 1940 in Suda Bay, Crete and the dismissal of RA Edef Renouf ( the main subject of my researches)

Many thanks

I fear that you may have the wrong ship, and thus the wrong title for the email (and thus for this thread). GLAMORGAN (the only one of the name to serve in the Royal Navy) didn't exist in 1940 - she was completed in the 1960s.

You may mean HMS GLASGOW - although she was torpedoed on 3 December 1940, not 26 December.

According to his service record (via the Dreadnought Project), the ship that was torpedoed was GLASGOW at Suda Bay on 3 December 1940.

hi,

the attack on GLASGOW was made by 2 SM-79 Sparviero torpedo aircraft of 278th squadron "aerosiluranti" (= air torpedos), one of them flown by Italian torpedo aircraft ace Carlo Emanuele Buscaglia
Buscaglia

greetings, Urs

many apologies - big thumb!

I must try and find how to see the Naval Board Inquiry - I suppose it's available in the National Archives Kew?

Thank you sir.
