Default Area's of Operations regarding medals

Hello Users,

2 Questions, any help is greatly appreciated.

1. Does any one know the area of operations limitations for qualification regarding the Burma Star and Pacific star for Naval Personal? Do recipients generally receive both as both AO's are so close?

2. Are medals ever revoked for misconduct?

thanks in advance,

Will

I think these two links answer your first question:

https://www.forces-war-records.co.uk/medals/burma-star/

https://www.forces-war-records.co.uk.../pacific-star/

Not sure what the British policy is regarding revocation of medals.

Hope this helps.

Quick answer no to receiving both

My grandfather qualified for Burma star but not Pacific star or clasp

Have also seen group where Pacific star but no burma clasp is worn
