Default Unknown RNVR

I'm trying to trace this person, for whom I have no information other than he hailed from the area of Uddingston, Lanarkshire. The attached postcard reveals he was possibly stationed at Crystal Palace and his uniform resembles that in several photos posted in your forum. I suspect this picture was taken in the nineteen-teens, but don't know.
Any clues as to how I might take further steps would be much appreciated.

All I can offer is that the RNVR Officers and men were trained at HMS Victory VI Crystal Palace. Apparently 125,000 were trained there between 1914 and 1918.

As Jan has said, there were a lot of men passed that way and, unless someone can identify the photo, it will be like looking for a needle in a haystack to identify him.

Thanks, thought it would be haystacks and needles. I have a set of possible surnames, but have drawn blanks.

Cladhan if you ever discover an official number for this guy it will contain a clue. All official numbers began with either one or two letters for example B or BZ for Bristol, E for the Birmingham Electrical Engineers etc. The Crystal Palace men all had official numbers beginning KP KW or KX denoting entered from Kitchener's army.
Best of luck with your search.
