Default Eric Wolfenden BEM , HMS Crane Veteran and NAAFI Manager HMS Eaglet

Eric crossed the bar yesterday 3rd Feb 2017 after a battle with dementia. He was an Arctic convoy veteran serving on HMS CRANE and joined Mersey division RNR HMS EAGLET in 1946 as NAAFI MANAGER, a position he held until 1994 when the roll was disbanded. Eric stayed on at Eaglet to run the junior rates mess until 2015 when he retired aged 92 and was dined out. A true Eaglet legend. His funeral will take place on Tuesday 14th February 2017 at springwood crematorium, Allerton, Liverpool at 12.00
