Default Separating HMS Alacrity from HMY Alacrity

I'm with and now involved in being an admin aid to putting our transcriptions online on as well as a moderator on their forum. We have just straightened out a confusion in which ship we were transcribing on this page .

There are in fact 2 Alacrities, the Surprise class old sloop and a yacht ex-Mlada purchased in 1919 after the first Alacrity had been decommissioned. Their descriptions in "BRITISH WARSHIPS, 1914-1919" by Dittmar & Colledge are online at

But both of them have been merged into a single ship on your site at . If you look at it, the old Alacrity is a long 3-masted sloop. The China Station Alacrity is a much shorter 2-masted yacht, which is the ship we are currently transcribing and editing.

I just thought someone on your site should be told, as I have no idea how to send a message to your administrative team.
