I have been asked to put together a seperate thread about Jims Calender.
So always keen to help here tis for no charge or reward!

A note to members Jim has kindly put together a calender for you featuring his paintings.
If you download a copy of each of the installments featured in this thread you will end up with an excellent little calender!

To celebrate 10,000 'Views', I've made up a calendar for 2010, of some of my paintings. Two months to an A4 page, a ring binder or one those plastic clamp strips would do for holding it together. I'll post the front/back cover, and the first 2 months. Please feel free to down load and print off. March/April tomorrow and so on.

Jim congrats on passing your 10,000th viewing... great achievement and a sign of the interest taken in your work.

2010 calendar is a fantastic idea/gesture and I kinda feel would like to make a contribution at the end of downloading.

I would have no difficulty if you were to set a charge for the privilege of taking one or more of your calendars ... either for yourself or a charity of your choosing. Don't know what you or the others might think!!!

Little h , thanks for the offer, but I don't want any money for the calander. However if any 'organsation,/association',wants to use it to help with funds,or for a charity, it would be ok with me. I would'nt say no to some commissions or to sell some of the pictures which get in the way of the wife's dusting though.

PS I don't mind 'hoovering' but hate dusting

regards

Congratulations on your 10.000th viewing Jim...and what a lovely idea to celebrate it with a calendar. Also extremely generous to share it freely with the forum users & others. I agree with Harry in that I wouldn't mind contributing something towards it....but at least I will see if there might be some group around here who would like to use it as a fundraiser....maybe my Dad's old R.N. Association might give it a go - I'll get in touch with them.
I should imagine that it'll also generate more interest in this already brilliant forum....so that's great.

Regards,
Bee

p.s. I love the way you've "framed" your pictures in the calendar too. It really makes them stand out.

Hi again Jim & Thankyou,

Actually my husband just mentioned about the RSLs too....(great minds 'n all ). I'm sure that there would be some form of commission...coming your way...should they take up the idea.
Thanks once again...and I hope some of the other forum members help you out with reducing the amount of dusting that needs to be done at Jim and Greta's place.

Cheers,
Bee
p.s. I believe our Jim has just said....he's willing to sell some paintings....so come on peoples....we all love his work. Now delve into your pockets and you might just be lucky enough to get an original by the man himself.

As one who has assisted in Jim's dusting problem I can confirm that they are even better when in front of you

Mine is in pride of place at home and no one is allowed to dust it ....thats my privilege

Jim, you are such a Gentlemen and so self effacing its not true !......

Thank you so much for this kind gesture and it must have taken you a lot of time putting it together .....I will be very glad to use it and print it off as the well meaning commercial rubbish I end up with is a waste of a match......

Incidentally .......the artist I have been trying to find out about was Brome
which means nothing to me at all but it would seem that the Artist's signature was part hidden by the frame ?

When I get a photograph of it I will send it to you to look at .....

Kind Regards to both you kind souls

Ivor

Glad to see you have good taste in your artwork Ivor, Me too. (Although I must admit - I kind of expected that you would.)

It's lovely to be able to have a tangible piece of forum history (from our talented Jim), makes it more real.

Also I'm glad you've been able to discover the identity of your artist, Brome. Must admit, I've never heard of him...but will have a go at looking him up.

'bye for now,
Bee

JIM / BEE, thanks for your comments.......Dear Mother ...bless her said that this artist was the one who also painted the "Belgian Royal Family" but I would not put to much store in that ......but what I know about art could be put ...etc....etc....EXCEPT... Jim's masterpieces of course

Thanks Big Al, it's nice to give people pleasure. Ivor, I think my 'why do you think I'm an impoverished artist' came out wrong. It was meant to mean ...'If I could predict the numbers I would'nt be an 'impoverished artist'

Anyway here's today's ofering.

Thanks folks, there dos'nt seem to be much take up of the calender, I think I'll have to ask Astraltrader if he can maybe put all the pages together and put it in a separate thread,I think it just needs a bit of publicity.

Jim I will let you know to whom/what I shall be donating in due course... I have a couple of p/time council jobs (one at a school for kids with learning difficulties) so I will also ask colleagues if they want any and if so to whom they might prefer to donate...

Your calenders wont be 'taken' without someone somewhere getting some benefit... rest assured mate

Thanks little h, I really did the calendar as a wee treat for members, however if people want to use them for charity, its fine by me, but please don't any one feel obligated to do so.

Jim

A few time I have thought to myself, "Well he has excelled himself this time, and couldn't get any better", Everytime that I think that, you come out with something that proves me wrong. Is there no end to your talent?

Anyway. Great Calender and a great Idea

Keep proving me wrong!!!!

Dave
