Just watched TORONTO come alongside Jetty NB (south end of Dkyd) looking well worn! Left over a year ago and did a crew swap with ST JOHN'S crew in theatre last summer.

WELCOME HOME BOYS (...and girls!!!)!

Indeed, welcome back Toronto and her crew. There were very happy families on the jetty today in Halifax. She has done yeoman's service. One presumes that she will be the next east coast frigate heading into the Felex/HCM cycle.

Ville de Quebec is working up for deployment and thus could be the replacement for Regina which is on her way to replace Toronto in the Indian Ocean/Persian Gulf area.

Actually Brian, as announced (on CTV anyway), TORONTO will get a major overhaul and redeploy in the summer...and with VDQ's crew working up...and VDQ being the next in line for MLR...

Pat: Well sending Toronto back saves cross decking equipment but will another six months deployment wear her to the point of no return in these budget restricted times? With Algonquin and Protecteur damaged and heaps of money probably required for Corner Brook, something will be sacrificed. I would prefer it not be a frigate. Your commander made it very clear to a group of us recently that the 280s and AORs have years not decades left in them.
