Default Navy Books - HMS Namur

I recently bought Michael Lennon' 'Warships in Focus' published by Navy Books this year. 181 pages of superb photographs of ships from the 1950s onwards. I have it open on the page that shows my own last ship HMS Blackpool (F77) leaving Portsmouth in 1966 starting a five year loan period with the RNZN. Many of you will find photos of your old ships in this book.

HMS Namur - of which I had never heard, yet had more battle honours than the 'Victory' Has just been included in an exhibition in Chatham Dockyard. The timbers, when she was broken up were under the floor of the Shipwright's shop in Chatty Chats

A very interesting article, and the Lennon book would be a superb addition to anyone's bookshelves.
