Default Ian Goacher

Today I received an email from Sue Goacher asking me to inform the Forum that Ian had "Crossed the Bar" on 10th August after a very short battle with Cancer.
I only briefly knew Ian from when he was a Radio Supervisor and I took over from him on HMS Lynx in 1972. We remained in contact occasionally over the years since. I am sure that Sue has our thoughts and prayers and the hope that Ian has found calm seas and a safe harbour.

Very sad to read of the passing of Ian. We exchanged emails on a number of occasions because of our mutual friendship of a late Ganges classmate of mine.

Ian and he were great friends and it is sad to think that both of them have now crossed the bar.

RIP Ian
