Impressive how quickly it got to Malta. I am guessing there may well have been some refuelling to be done when she arrived at that first port of call. A Danae class cruiser

HMS SHROPSHIRE`s wanderings around the Med in 1930-1931.

There seems to be a reluctance for the Med Fleet to visit Italy or the North African coast during this period, why?

World cruise with a difference for HMS Duke of York. 1945-46

On leaving UK the war was still raging against the Japanese and the Atom Bombs had not been used.

By the time she arrived in the Far East both bombs had been used and Japan had surrended.
