When I did my basic training at RNAS Bramcote in 1958, there were several Sea Hornets on the Fire pans, sitting on their bellies minus the wings at the fold point. At that time they hadn't been burnt. I was told they were ex RNVR Squadron a/c from the Midlands Division. Another 'interesting a/c parked beside a hangar was a prototype piston engined Wyvern.
